Wow, this was an amazing experience for me!
This was my first concert with the Triangle Youth Philharmonic, and I was very honored to play with such talented musicians. Being a part of TYP, North Carolina’s top youth philharmonic, has been both exciting and humbling.
I was a little bit nervous before the concert. I wanted to do my best to help the group because many of the musicians are older and have a lot of experience. But once the music started, all the nerves went away. I concentrated on listening, blending in, and having fun on stage.
I was proud to be standing under the lights and hearing the orchestra. Not only because of the performance, but also because of how much I’ve improved as a violinist. This concert reminded me why I love music: it’s about working together, expressing yourself, and sharing something important with others.
